Meet us at Aspen Food & Wine Classic 2016

Wines from Spain is proud to announce our participation in the 2016 Aspen Food & Wine Classic. For our 24th year in Aspen, Wines from Spain – the only country with its own, exclusive tent – has partnered with the Tourist Office of Spain to showcase the diversity of Spanish wines through seminars and tastings.

On World Tapas Day, June 16, 2016, Wines from Spain will kick-off the Food & Wine Classic with a “Welcome Barbecue” during which we will present Food Network’s Iron Chef and James Beard award winning Chef Jose Garces. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the incredible versatility of Spanish wine and cuisine under Chef Garces’ mastery. Chef Garces, who recently opened his first Manhattan-based restaurant, Amada NYC, will also be teaching “Battle of the Spanish Classics,” a seminar held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 3:45-4:30pm

From June 17- 19, Wines from Spain will participate in the Grand Tasting with 24 tables that include the campaigns of Rías Baixas, Sherry, Rioja Ribera del Duero.  In total, there will be 20 wine tables, 3 food tables including Forever Cheese, Tempranillo Restaurant and a table from the Tourist Office of Spain who will be promoting the wine routes of Spain.

  • Spain’s Most Extraordinary Wine Region: Catalonia | Presented by Ray Isle
    June 17: 2:00 pm–2:45 pm
  • The Best of Spain: Contemporary vs. Classic | Presented by Andrea Robinson
    June 17 & 18: 2:00 pm–2:45 pm
  • Battle of the Spanish Classics | Presented by Chef Jose Garces
    June 18: 3:45 pm-4:30 pm
